The Fours The Fours

On Discomfort, Resilience, and the Birth of the Fours

I didn’t create The Fours to be universally liked. I created it to be honest. To speak to the parts of us that are craving depth, challenge, and something real.

I didn’t create The Fours to be universally liked. I created it to be honest. To speak to the parts of us that are craving depth, challenge, and something real.

We live in a world that constantly urges us to stay comfortable. To keep things light, palatable, and pleasing. But comfort rarely grows us. It soothes—but it doesn’t stretch.

And so I began to wonder:

What if discomfort isn’t danger? What if it’s a doorway? An edge? An invitation?

The Fours was born from that question. This practice is not just about movement. It’s about building a deeper relationship with yourself—through breath, rhythm, and physical presence. It’s about learning to stay in your body when things get hard. Not to force. Not to push blindly. But to meet the edge—with intention, with awareness, and with breath.

At The Fours, we use physical challenge not just to build strength, but to build resilience. We challenge the muscles, yes—but also the nervous system.

So that over time, the capacity of your nervous system grows:

To hold more intensity.

To sit with sensation.

To stay grounded in your truth, even when the world (or your body) feels uncertain.

This work is powerful, but it’s not always comfortable. That’s why The Fours isn’t for everyone. And that’s okay. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all movement. We believe in deep, intentional practices that honor both power and sensitivity. Strength and softness. We believe that the edge is where transformation begins.

So if you’re drawn to that edge… curious about what lives just beyond it… we welcome you. Come breathe with us. Move with us. Be with what’s real. And if it’s not for you—thank you for exploring anyway. It means something that you were curious enough to take a step closer.

Sincerely,

C.G., Founder of The Fours
